Newfoundland and Labrador has continued its 2026 immigration selections by inviting 140 prospective immigrants in its latest draw held on August 26. The province divided the invitations between two major immigration programs. The Newfoundland and Labrador Provincial Nominee Program (NLPNP) accounted for 94 invitations, while the Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP) issued the remaining 46.
This was the province’s 12th immigration selection of the year. The latest AIP intake was particularly notable, recording its strongest invitation total since March. In contrast, the NLPNP’s latest figure was its smallest selection since late July.
Authorities did not provide a detailed breakdown of the occupations or specific categories targeted. Candidates selected through these programs can continue toward permanent residence after completing the required provincial or regional process.
