Canada has conducted its first Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) Express Entry draw for August 2026 on 4th August. The draw issued invitations to 507 candidates to apply for permanent residence. Candidates needed a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 768 to receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA).
For candidates who had a CRS score of 768, the tie-breaking rule applied to profiles submitted before 3:58 p.m UTC on May 15, 2026.
The latest draw brings the total number of PNP-specific Express Entry draws in 2026 to 15, with 6,957 ITAs issued through this category so far this year. IRCC has issued more than 105,000 ITAs across different Express Entry categories in 2026.
The results indicate the continued importance given to provincial nominations for candidates applying for Canadian permanent residence through Express Entry.
