Alberta Issues 367 Invitations in Latest Immigration Draws

Alberta has sent invitations to 367 candidates to apply for provincial nomination for permanent residence. The invitations were sent through five selection rounds held under the Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP). The draws were held between August 4 and August 12 and focused on candidates in sectors identified as priorities by the province.

The Rural Renewal Stream issued the highest number of invitations, with 127 candidates selected at a minimum score of 51. Alberta also invited 95 candidates through the Accelerated Tech Pathway and 57 through the Dedicated Health Care Pathway. A further 50 invitations went to candidates under the healthcare priority sector, while 38 were issued through the agriculture priority sector.

Following these selections, Alberta had issued 11,215 invitations in 2026 as of August 12. The province has used 4,184 of its 6,603 nomination allocation, leaving 2,419 nomination spaces available for the rest of the year.
