Canada Reports New Changes in Express Entry Candidate Pool

Canada’s latest Express Entry data shows that the number of candidates in the immigration pool dropped by 2,241. The number has fallen from 229,100 on August 3 to 226,859 on August 16, 2026. The largest decline was seen among candidates in the 351–400 and 501–600 CRS score ranges.

Despite the overall decline the number of candidates with scores above 600 increased, reaching 20,205. During the same period, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada conducted four Express Entry draws and issued 8,807 invitations for permanent residence. These included draws for provincial nominees, Canadian Experience Class candidates, French-language speakers and transport occupations.

The updated figures offer applicants a clearer view of competition across different CRS ranges and show how recent invitation rounds are influencing the Express Entry pool.
