Canada has conducted another French-language category-based Express Entry draw. The 22 July 2026 draw issued 5,000 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) for permanent residence. Candidates with a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 399 and who have created their Express Entry profile before 9:21 p.m UTC on November 19, 2025 were considered for the draw.
The targeted category-based draws held by IRCC help to strengthen bilingualism, address labour shortages and support regional economic development across the country. The latest selection of French-speaking skilled workers shows the continuous effort of the country to support bilingual communities outside Quebec. The lower score of the draw is expected to benefit applicants with strong French language proficiency who may not have qualified under higher-scoring general draws.
Bilingual proficiency is a valuable route to Canadian permanent residence, and therefore applicants are encouraged to improve their French-language skills.
