In another Express Entry draw focused on candidates with Canadian work experience 1,000 invitations to apply (ITAs) for permanent residence under the Canadian Experience Class (CEC) has been issued. The draw took place on August 18, 2026 and candidates were to have a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 523.
Candidates also had to submit their Express Entry profiles before 10:13 a.m. UTC on August 17 to meet the draw’s tie-breaking requirement. This round marked the 14th CEC draw of 2026 and brought the number of CEC invitations issued this year to 49,250.
The latest draw had the highest CRS cut-off and the fewest invitations in a CEC draw so far this year. Canada has continued to place significant emphasis on applicants who already have Canadian work experience, making the CEC an important pathway for temporary residents seeking permanent residence.
