Manitoba Invites 257 Childcare, Education and Healthcare Workers to Apply for Provincial Nomination

Manitoba has issued 257 Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs) to skilled workers in childcare, education and healthcare. The invitations were issued under the Skilled Worker in Manitoba pathway of the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) in a draw held on October 8, 2026. Of these, 211 invitations went to workers in education and childcare occupations.

These include early childhood educators and assistants, teacher assistants, kindergarten and elementary school teachers, and secondary school teachers. The remaining 46 invitations went to healthcare workers employed in Manitoba in health occupations. In the same draw, the province also invited 83 candidates through its strategic recruitment initiatives, which brings the total to 340 invitations. Of all the invited candidates, 103 had a valid Express Entry profile. Manitoba did not publish minimum scores for this draw.

Invited candidates have 60 days to submit a complete application for provincial nomination. Once nominated, they may become eligible for support with work permits while their permanent residence application is being processed. The draw shows that Manitoba continues to prioritize workers in essential sectors. It could create more pathways to permanent residence for skilled workers already working in the province.
