
The global higher education analytics firm Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) has released the QS World University Rankings Europe 2026. The ranking lists the continent’s best universities, providing a global benchmark for students in making informed decisions regarding their choice of universities. The ranking is given by considering several performance indicators such as academic reputation, research impact, learning experience, employability, global engagement, and so on.
As per the QS Europe rankings for 2026, the University of Oxford has emerged as the top university in Europe. This year, the University of Oxford Europe ranking has risen from the third position in the year 2025 to first place. Following Oxford, ETH Zurich in Switzerland ranked second, and Imperial College London and University College London (UCL) share the third position. The University of Cambridge is ranked in the fifth position.
