Manitoba has opened another opportunity for skilled workers seeking permanent residence in Canada, inviting 600 candidates from trades and transportation occupations through its latest Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) draw on August 27.
The province issued 741 Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs) in total during the selection. Besides the 600 trades and transportation workers, invitations went to 62 candidates in targeted healthcare and transportation occupations, 21 French-speaking candidates, and 58 strategically recruited applicants.
Those who receive a provincial nomination can use it to support their permanent residence application and may also qualify for work permit assistance. Eligible applicants could later obtain a bridging open work permit after submitting their federal PR application. Invited candidates have 60 days to provide a complete application to the MPNP.
