Alberta Issues 82 Invitations to Agriculture and Construction Workers

Alberta has sent invitations to 82 candidates to apply for provincial nomination through the Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP). The program targets workers in the agriculture and construction sectors. The invitations were issued through two Alberta Express Entry Stream - Priority Sector draws which were held on July 16 and July 21, 2026.

The construction-focused draw issued 53 invitations with a minimum score of 65, while the agriculture draw issued 29 invitations with a minimum score of 56. Both cut-off scores were the highest recorded for their respective draw types in 2026.

Alberta has now conducted 64 AAIP draws in 2026, including five targeted construction draws and four agriculture draws. The province had invited at least 10,828 candidates to apply for provincial nomination by July 30.

The province received an allocation of 6,403 nomination spaces from the federal government and had issued 3,892 nominations by July 30. Meanwhile, Alberta's Worker Expression of Interest pool contained 36,948 profiles, showing strong competition among applicants.

Agriculture and construction workers with eligible profiles may have opportunities through Alberta's priority-sector pathways, but candidates should carefully check the current AAIP eligibility and selection criteria before applying.
