Canada has invited 442 provincial nominees to apply for permanent residence through the latest Express Entry draw held on August 17, 2026. Candidates needed a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 760 to receive an invitation. They also had to create their Express Entry profile before August 7, 2026.
The latest round was the 16th Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) draw conducted by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) this year. So far in 2026, PNP-specific draws have issued 7,399 invitations.
Provincial nomination remains an important pathway for candidates seeking Canadian permanent residence through Express Entry. A provincial nomination can increase a candidate’s CRS score and thereby improve their chances of receiving an invitation.
The latest draw also reflects Canada’s continued focus on candidates with provincial nominations and Canadian connections.
