The province of Manitoba has issued 104 Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs) to eligible candidates through the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) draw conducted under its Skilled Worker Stream. The first MPNP draw of June 2026, that took place on June 4, invited eligible candidates through both the Skilled Worker in Manitoba and Skilled Worker Overseas pathways.
To qualify for the draw, the applicants were required to indicate in their Expression of Interest (EOI) profiles that they had received an invitation through a strategic recruitment initiative or under the Temporary Public Policy to Facilitate Work Permits for Prospective Provincial Nominee Program Candidates (TPP).
The Employer Services initiative accounted for 40 invitations followed closely by the Temporary Public Policy (TPP) with 39 invitations. The remaining invitations were issued through Francophone Communities (17), Ethnocultural Communities (6), and Regional Communities (2) initiatives.
Candidates who receive an LAA can apply for provincial nomination, which can strengthen their pathway for Canadian permanent residence under the Provincial Nominee Program.
As of now Manitoba has conducted 11 provincial immigration selections in 2026 with targeted selection of candidates who may be able to contribute to the economic growth of the province and fill the labour gaps.
