In the August 31st Express Entry draw IRCC invited 562 candidates with provincial nominations to apply for permanent residence. Candidates invited in this round needed a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 697. They also had to create their Express Entry profile before 4:32 a.m. UTC on April 12, 2026, to be considered for the draw.
This was the 17th Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) draw of 2026. The latest draw highlights the important role of provincial nominations in Canada’s economic immigration system. A provincial nomination can provide candidates with a significant boost to their CRS score increasing their chances of receiving an invitation to apply for permanent residence.
