Manitoba has conducted a new Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) draw. The draw focused on skilled workers employed in key sectors, including transportation, utilities, and manufacturing, to apply for provincial nomination for Canadian permanent residence. Through the draw which was held on 30 July 2026 Manitoba issued 766 Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs), and the province continues to address the labour shortages in industries that are essential for the province’s economic growth and infrastructure.
Candidates were selected through the Skilled Worker in Manitoba stream based on factors such as work experience, occupation, employer support, and eligibility under the province’s immigration criteria. Candidates were required to have a minimum Expression of Interest (EOI) score of 117 and had to be working in one of the identified priority occupations and meet the eligibility requirements set by the province. Those who received Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs) can now submit a full application for provincial nomination. MPNP invited eligible candidates through the following immigration streams and pathways:
Skilled Worker in the Manitoba pathway; and
Skilled Worker Stream – in Manitoba and Overseas
The province continues to focus on workers who are already contributing to the province's labour market. This focus supports employers while at the same time providing eligible foreign workers with a pathway to permanent residence.
