Canada has conducted its first-ever Express Entry permanent residence selection under the newly created Skilled Military Recruits category. The 23 July 2026 Skilled Military Recruits draw issued four Invitations to Apply (ITAs). Candidates selected in the draw required a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 368 and must have created their Express Entry profiles before 8:11 p.m. UTC on June 2, 2026.
The Skilled Military Recruits category is for eligible candidates with military backgrounds who meet Express Entry requirements and also the requirements for this targeted selection.
With only four candidates invited, the draw has issued the smallest number of invitations ever in an Express Entry draw; however, it highlights the focus Canada is giving to specialized talent who meet the workforce needs of the country.
