Workers in several high-demand fields have been selected by Alberta in a series of provincial immigration draws held throughout September.
From September 10 to 23, the Alberta Advantage Immigration Program issued 380 invitations to candidates across healthcare, technology, agriculture, manufacturing and law enforcement. The Alberta Opportunity Stream accounted for the largest selection with 113 invitations, followed by 100 through the Accelerated Tech Pathway and another 100 through the healthcare priority sector.
The remaining invitations included 48 for manufacturing, 18 for agriculture and fewer than 10 through the Law Enforcement Pathway. Minimum scores across the draws ranged from 49 to 62.
Alberta has now conducted 80 immigration draws in 2026, issuing at least 13,089 invitations. Candidates receiving provincial nomination can proceed with a federal permanent residence application.
