2,000 skilled candidates have been invited to apply for permanent residence under the latest Canadian Experience Class (CEC) draw.
The draw took place on September 15, 2026, and candidates required a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 519 to receive an invitation. Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) also applied a tie-breaking rule based on the creation date and time of candidates’ Express Entry profiles. Eligible profiles had to be submitted before 12:16 a.m. UTC on March 26, 2026.
These latest rounds mark the 16th CEC-focused Express Entry draw held in 2026. CEC selections have now resulted in 51,250 invitations being issued during the year. Across all Express Entry categories, Canada has conducted 55 draws in 2026 to date. Combined, these rounds have produced 128,732 invitations to apply for permanent residence. The latest CEC draw continues Canada’s use of Express Entry to select skilled candidates with qualifying Canadian work experience for permanent residency.
