British Columbia has issued 714 invitations to skilled workers in its latest Provincial Nominee Program selection, held on September 24. The province invited 426 candidates with job offers in NOC TEER 0, 1, 2 or 3 occupations offering at least $52 per hour and an annual salary of $105,000. A further 288 candidates were selected based on their registration scores, with a minimum score of 131 points.
The invitations were issued under B.C.’s Innovate: High Economic Impact category. According to the province, this was the eighth selection round in 2026 under the objective and the largest such draw of the year.
Those receiving an invitation have 30 days to submit a complete application for provincial nomination. Candidates who receive a nomination can then apply to the federal government for Canadian permanent residence.
B.C. has now issued 6,128 invitations across its worker and entrepreneur streams in 2026, against a provincial nomination allocation of 6,254 spaces.
