Canada Provincial Nominee Program is a faster immigration pathway to obtain Canadian permanent residence. It allows provinces and territories to nominate eligible immigration candidates for permanent residence in Canada. Applying for Canada PR through a PNP has two stages–first obtaining approval at the provincial level and then applying for permanent residence at the federal level.

The Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program(AINP) has three categories, which are:
Alberta Opportunity Stream targets foreign workers who are already working in the province and have an official job offer from their Alberta employer. At the same time, the Alberta Express Entry stream is meant for candidates who have a federal Express Entry profile. In order to apply under the Self-employed Farmer Stream, candidates must have experience in owning and operating a farm and enough capital to launch a new farming venture in Alberta.
The British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) is divided into two categories: British Columbia Skills Immigration and British Columbia Entrepreneur Immigration. The Express Entry Skilled Worker stream under the NLPNP is for Express Entry candidates who have experience in NOC Skill Level 0, A, or B occupations and a guaranteed employment offer. Workers of all NOC Skill Levels and a guaranteed job offer from a Newfoundland and Labrador employer may apply for a provincial nomination through the Skilled Worker stream. Under the International Graduate Program, graduates from eligible post-secondary institutions may apply for a provincial nomination, provided they are currently employed or have received a job offer from a Newfoundland and Labrador employer.
The three major categories under the Northwest Territories Nominee Program (NTNP) are:
Express Entry candidates with a job offer from an eligible Northwest Territories employer may apply through the Northwest Territories Express Entry stream. Northwest Territories Employer Driven streams are for candidates with experience in occupations classified under National Occupational Classification (NOC) Skill Level 0, A, B, C, or D and a full-time job offer. Under Northwest Territories Business Driven streams, business owners and entrepreneurs who wish to create a new business in Northwest Territories may apply for a provincial nomination.

High skilled individuals capable of contributing towards the growth of Nova Scotia’s economy may receive a provincial nomination through the Nova Scotia Demand: Express Entry stream. Candidates with work experience in Nova Scotia in a highly-skilled occupation are eligible to apply through Nova Scotia Experience: Express Entry. Foreign workers and recently graduated international students with in-demand skills in Nova Scotia have to apply under the Nova Scotia Skilled Worker stream. Nova Scotia Physicians Stream is for candidates with a valid job offer from a Nova Scotia health organization. Experienced business owners or senior business managers with enough capital to invest in Nova Scotia may apply through Nova Scotia Entrepreneur stream. At the same time, international students who have recently graduated from a Nova Scotia college or university and are already running a business in Nova Scotia are eligible to apply under the International Graduate Entrepreneur Stream. Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program(OINP) has three categories:
Candidates with skills, abilities and experience that make them capable of easily joining the Ontario labour force may apply through one of the streams under the Human Capital category. The Ontario Employer Job Offer streams are for candidates with a valid job offer from an Ontario employer. At the same time, the Ontario Business category targets entrepreneurs and corporations interested to invest in the province.
The three categories under Prince Edward Island Provincial Nominee Program (PEI PNP) are:
The PEI Express Entry is exclusively meant for those candidates who wish to live and work in PEI. Foreign workers and recent graduates who are already employed in the province may apply under the Labour Impact category. Those who wish to obtain a Canadian business visa may apply through the Business Impact stream of the PEI PNP.
Quebec Skilled Worker Program (QSW) is a major pathway that facilitates skilled worker immigration to Quebec. Candidates with work experience in the province may apply through the Quebec Experience Program (PEQ). Applicants willing to invest in Quebec can apply through the Quebec Investor Program, and those who wish to do business in the province may apply through the Quebec Entrepreneur Program.
