Student Visas are exclusively issued to applicants whose prime purpose of visit to the country is the pursuit of education. When you take the first instance, the countries normally put the student visa in two categories – short term and long term. While in long-term visas, are provided for students who take up course extending beyond 3 month period. However, some countries distinguish the student visas on the basis of the type of student. It could be the level of degree applied for Undergraduate, graduate or doctoral programs, exchange students or applicants for a diploma or vocational courses.
