For the purposes of citizenship, your permanent residency begins on the day of visa approval, whether you are in Australia at the time of approval or when you enter the nation on this visa if you are outside the country.

Include Family Members There is flexibility for including family members in your application. This can be done at the time of the initial visa application or added later, prior to the visa determination. Family members must follow health and character guidelines. Family members who are not accompanying you to Australia may still be required to meet the health and character norms. If your partner or children who are dependent to you are not included in this application, you need to explain why they are not included to help the visa processing process.

Location of the Application

This visa can be applied for from within or outside of Australia. While applying for and awaiting the decision on your visa, you can be in or out of Australia except during immigration clearance.
