Canada is facing a shortage of skilled workers which is expected to persist for some time in the future. A major portion of the Canadian labour force is approaching the retirement age, which would further increase the demand for labour in the country. So Canadian employers are keen on attracting and retaining quality workers.

Further, the Canadian population is aging fast and it is expected that by 2024, one in five Canadians will be older than 65. This will especially open up more demand for healthcare workers.
